Linda received an award for Teens Sew Cool’s work in the community from RSVP - Retired Seniors Volunteer Program - a federal program - from Joan Phillips - Pinal County coordinator.
Mission Statement:
The object of Teens Sew Cool is to teach the art of sewing to young people with the goals of giving them a sense of self esteem, pride and accomplishment and skills for future use in family and possible income production.
We have a tax-exempt number on file so that all donations can be deductible. We both win with a donation from you!
Our Wonderful Staff
All our staff are loyal volunteers who are dedicated to the idea of sharing a skill they dearly love with young people who want to learn. The basis of our classes is the mentoring of the students so that they get constant positive reinforcement.
Many wonderful ladies in the community meet with us each week to bring the love of sewing to these teens. We are always looking for others to join us in this wonderful adventure.
